Dear Family!
Well I only got small time...again. We are cutting our p-days early so we can go on splits on Mondays so we can see the other districts district meetings on Tuesday mornings. We gotta run over to Kasoa today and it takes awhile to get there. We need to leave early so we don't have to throw too many elbows to get on a tro-tro (picture old ladies elbowing you with a propane tank on their head).
Angelas mom came to church and went to the literacy class. YAHOO!
Well since time is small small let me give ya'll some stories of the past week.

We are teaching a woman named V. She has 3 kids and a husband. We always pass her house, we taught her once before and now we are trying again. We have been taking sis Mills to teach with us. It is the Bills and Mills team! Well anywho sis Mills helps a lot and is friends with V. She is understanding the message and she prayed about Joseph Smith. We asked her if she received an answer. She said yes. We inquired more. She said that she had a dream and saw that there were some men dressed in all white. One of the men stood up to a pulpit ... and then she described a temple dedication. She said that she feels that this is the right place for her.
We didn't explain too much about her dream. She will understand that later. I just am amazed on how many people are getting dreams. Man crazy. God works in his own way for his own people. It is so humbling that we are the ones that invite people to truly come unto Christ. If people do what we invite them to do, they really will receive answers and a knowledge that this message is true, Jesus is the Christ and that His church has been restored.

Sis Mills also had a dream when she was first investigating the church. Her husband used to drink and she was wanting him to stop. She was going to all the "jump up and down, clap and stomp on Satan churches" because she said it was fun and she didn't know any better. She used to buy 'holy' oil from pastors and cook her husbands food with it so he would stop drinking. She one day saw the missionaries and went to church after listening to them. She came to the church and thought it was good and accepted to be baptized. She prayed about the message and dreamed and saw her and her husband in a white room, dressed in white with some other people there. She said that later the dream actually happened in the temple when she was sealed to her family and husband. Her husband started taking the lessons and he got baptized, stopped drinking and just confirmed Prince our recent convert (the first time Bro Mills has confirmed somebody). Sis Mills has stayed in the church because she knows that it is true because her family is one now. She is the young womens 1st counselor in the stake.

We went on splits last week. I went with Elder Thom from Australia. He is very new. He is one of the greatest people I have ever met. He was baptized about 4 years ago. He is the only member of his family, however he has faith that his family will join. His dad is somehow against it and jokes with him saying, "son I prayed about the message and angel Moroni appeared to me and told me it was not true haha." He said his family was not totally for him going on a mission but he went anyway because he knows it is the right thing to do. I guess Australia is moving towards an atheistic view of life. Too bad. I guess even their president is a woman who is not married to her 'husband' or more accurately said, boyfriend. Elder Thom has a great spirit about with him. He is able to teach powerfully. When he talks you feel that whatever he is saying is true even though he is new to teaching. He lives so the Holy Ghost is with him. I like Elder Thom.

We went to the Baadoo's house because she cooked cheeseburgers. Man we were over as fast as we could!!! When we were there they got a phone call and the church was on GTV, a Ghana tv station. The Ghana equivalent of Oprah was doing a story on the church as people see us and don't really know much about the church. It was mostly in Twi so we didn't hear much but Bro Baadoo translated it for us. The place was full of women from different faiths asking about our beliefs and stuff. Remember that A LOT of the women population can't read and are not schooled; they asked questions such as "Why you guys drink blood?" "Do you guys 'call' saints? (meaning do you guys call old spirits and pray to them?)" "why do you read the book of mammon? Jesus says don't worship God and mammon" and stuff like that. There were 2 bishops that answered all this very well and in a way not demeaning to the women who believed these rumors and lies and traditional hocus pocus nonsense. The bishops read from the family proclamation and expounded some doctrine etc. 2 senior couple missionaries, the Paige's, were on the program and the oprah lady asked him to say some words. They looked so...LDS. They were the only ones sitting next to each other holding hands, smiling and glowing. He said that the LDS peple are very family oriented and gave everyone the invitation that the woman at the well gave her family after coming to know the truth of the Messiah, "come and see." Man it was great. After the TV Program, we were proselyting and everyone was waving at us. A lot of the rumors and suspicions have been destroyed. The church will continue to roll forth here.

However a lot of the rumors of the church are being resolved, there will always be lie's and more rumors started to try and lure God's children from the truth. In Dansoman, the sister missionaries are baptizing a family of 3. A woman and her 2 children. The day of her baptism she didn't show up. They rescheduled. She didn't show up again. They didn't know what was going on. Her excuses were not lining up. Finally we called Elder Taylor and Elder Owusu who were teaching her and asked them to talk to her. Elder Owusu talked to her in Twi and she said that a pastor told her if she was baptized and joined the church that she and her family would die. Take in mind that this pastor is not even the pastor to a church she attends. So Elder Owusu talked with her and hopefully resolved this issue.
Some people here can be kinda...superstitious and may believe a lot of stuff like that. Good thing Elder Nwachukwu and I were not there. We weren't happy about that pastor for telling her something like that.

At church on Sunday I saw Phillip N, the guy who likes computers. He would be a friend of mom and grandpa dad. He came from college in the central region to visit his family. He came up to me and I was really happy. He said that he is now an elder. YAHOO! It was a great feeling, can't explain it. Also Adams W's name was mentioned during stake conference, to be ordained and elder. I sustained him and raised my hand the highest out of everyone haha. Well he ran up to me after and I hugged him and he was so happy. Man the church is true!
Anywho we gotta head over to Kasoa for splits.
The internet is having a slow time today so no pictures today. Sorry-o.
Glad Britt and Dave are doing good.
Well I saw a couple pictures you sent (slow internet) and the yard is looking great. Man I love grass. Grass is good.
Sorry I can't respond to everything, not enough time. I have enough time to say that I know the church is true. The Holy Ghost tells us what we should do and leads us towards truth. We need to be courageous enough to listen to what He tells our heart and mind; if we are courageous and follow, we will be lead to Christ and will see Him and the Father. The Book of Mormon is true.
I love you, my family. You guys rock. Keep it up!
Head bonks all around!
p.s. After seeing your photo of the new Beto's, I really am craving a betos burrito right now. Thanks a lot...
